The crawler chassis height mounted on standard trailers exceeded safe clearance envelopes.
  • Congested Metropolitan Ingress: Final site positioning required transitioning off tollways into dense municipal Jakarta streets during narrow nighttime delivery windows with overhead municipal utility lines and zero turning radii at urban intersections.
02. Engineering & Survey

The Plan: Multi-Axle Distribution, Height Drops, and Advance Survey Sweeps

DSK Logistics dispatched an advance route engineering survey team 10 days prior to ship berthing. Driving the full 780 km route with high-precision digital height poles and laser rangefinders, our surveyors cataloged every overhead bridge, power line sag, toll gantry, and weigh station bypass.

To address the structural challenges, our heavy-transport engineering department developed a customized haulage plan:

Multi-Axle Modular Lowbed Configuration

Rather than standard semi-trailers, DSK deployed specialized multi-axle modular hydraulic lowbed trailers with pendular axles and mechanical steering. By spreading the gross vehicle weight across 10 distinct axle lines, the load was distributed to under 8.5 tons per axle—well inside national bridge safety factors and Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) guidelines.

03. Execution

The Execution: High-Precision Night Staging and Continuous Telematics

Mobilization commenced from Jamrud Terminal at Tanjung Perak Port following rigorous safety lashing verification. DSK certified riggers utilized Grade 100 heavy-duty lashing chains and ratchet load binders rated to twice the cargo dynamic force vector, ensuring total lateral stability during acceleration, braking, and banking curves.

The journey was executed in deliberate night stages between 21:00 and 05:00 WIB to minimize interference with regular public highway traffic:

  • Night 1 (Surabaya to Ngawi): Convoy cleared eastern Java industrial corridors and entered the Trans-Java tollway at Mojokerto with escort cruisers establishing a rolling 300-meter security zone ahead and behind the trailers.
  • Night 2 (Ngawi to Semarang): Navigated Central Java tollway transitions with manual toll booth overrides arranged in advance through regional toll operators (Jasa Marga), clearing oversized manual gate lanes without stopping.
  • Night 3 (Semarang to Cirebon): Maintained steady cruising speeds of 40–45 km/h across the north coast corridor. At designated rest areas, DSK technical crews conducted thermal inspections of wheel hub bearings, hydraulic pressure lines, and lashing chain tensions.
  • Night 4 (Cirebon to Central Jakarta Job Site): Reached outer Jakarta toll ring before 02:00 WIB. DSK sweeper teams in elevated boom bucket trucks guided the convoy under municipal telecom and power lines along urban arterials directly to the contractor’s construction staging gates.

Throughout the 96-hour mobilization window, DSK Journey Management Control logged GPS breadcrumb intervals every 60 seconds, streaming live speed, position coordinates, and dashcam feeds directly to the client's procurement and logistics steering committee.

04. Results
